Kunchikal Falls is the highest waterfall in India. It’s total height of fall is 455 meters (1493 ft.). Kunchikal Falls is located in the Nidagodu region of Karnataka. It is a very popular tourist site . It is also known by the name “Kunchikal Abbe”. The mighty Varahi river feeds this waterfall. The best time to visit Kunchikal is between July- September.
#2 Barehipani Falls
Barehipani Falls is a two tiered waterfall situated deep within the Simlipal National Park in the district of Orissa. It is one of the tallest waterfalls in India and measure just a meter shy of 400. The area surrounding this waterfall is gorgeous. It is surrounded by lush green forests. The area is also known to house some wild animals too. It’s a bonus for the tourists therefore.
#3 Jog Falls

Kynrem Falls is located at a distance of only 16kms from Cherrapunji in the east Khasi Hills. It is a three step waterfall cascading down the hills. #11 Shivanasamudra Falls
Shivanasamudra Falls is one of the most vigorous and powerful waterfalls in India. It is located on the banks of the Kaveri river in the state of Karnataka. It has height of 98 meters but more than makes up for it’s height by it’s sheer ferocity. The Shivanasamudra divides the river Kaveri into two parts,thereby creating two more majestic waterfalls known as Gaganchukki and Barachukki waterfalls.
